Ingredients
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
2 Tablespoons Italian Seasoning
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
pinch of red pepper flakes
1 Chesapeake Gold Farm’s London Broil 2 pounds (if more, double recipe)
Ingredients
- Measure all of your marinade ingredients and whisk together in a bowl.
- Transfer thawed london broil to a ziplock bag and add marinade.
- Let this meat marinate overnight for best results. If you are in a rush, do not marinate for less than 4 hours.
- Turn on oven broiler or 500 degrees. I have a simple broil button on my oven. Transfer meat to a shallow baking dish.
- Cook meat 5 minutes on each side OR until the internal temperature reads 125. You want a medium rare temperature, as this particular cut of meat will be dry if cooked further.
- Let meat rest on slicing board for 10 minutes prior to cutting and then slice thin strips against the grain.
What I love about this cut is that there is no shrink and the meat is extremely lean, so if you are cooking a two pound piece you will have 2 pounds of meat with no discard.
I adapted this marinade recipe to be my own but original was taken from The Recipe Critic.
