The perfect quick and tasty meal for the Ranch hand in your life. It’s hearty and filling so great after a long day of work. This recipe calls for Chesapeake Gold Farms Ranch steaks. This is a tougher cut of meat from the chuck section. What I love about this cut is that it is super flavorful but no excess fat to discard.
Ingredients
-
1.5 lb Ranch Steaks
-
1 lb carrots sliced long
-
about 20 small red potatoes left whole or use large ones and quarter
-
1 yellow onion sliced
-
1 Ranch Dressing Dry Packet mix
-
1/3 Cup Steak Sauce
-
1/3 Cup Water
Directions
- In the instant pot, saute thawed ranch steaks in olive oil until brown. You can also do this in a cast iron pan on the stove, and use the slow cooker instead of instant pot for cooking this meal.
- Add the carrots to bottom of instant pot, then layer the ranch steaks on top, add onions on top of steaks, and then finally add in potatoes.
- Mix steak sauce, water, and ranch dressing packet and pour over layered ingredients.
- Set instant pot to 22 minutes OR let cook in slow cooker for 7-8 hours on low.
Alternative: If you’re in a rush, you can omit the carrots and potatoes from the instant pot. Just cook the meat and onions and then spread on a bed of instant mashed potatoes.
